Hi! all,

I need assistance on how to import TM which is in SDL Trados 2006 to TM in SDL Trados 2011 or TM in SDL Trados 2007.

I have tried to do so but when I go to the folder it's empty, so I don't know how to do it.

Any body who can help please.

Dear Secilia,

If you wish to export a 2006 Trados TM, do the following: Open the TM you wish to export. Then on the Woirkbench, click File-Export. As file type set txt, this si the most simple one.

After this si done, close the TM (File-Close), but not the Workbench. Create or open with the Workbench the TM desired. Then click File-Import. Be sure that the "Merge" option is selected and click Import.

I hope I was helpful. In case of Studio the procedure is almost the same, however there you have to open the TM, or select it and click the Import option. No Workbench is required in case of SDL Trados Studio 2009. ▲ Collapse

Standard format Mar 30, 2012

TMX is a standard format you can exchange among many CAT tools e.g. Trados.

In T2006 > Export to TMX

In T20011, 2007 > Import TMX
