This is the first time I am working with Tag Editor and so far
I am doing fine except that I can't not use the TM that was provided to me.

I opened the TM in Workbench but there was nothing. I wanted to check the TM and I can't find basic words as “of”, “the” except what I have already translated. Nothing else. The only thing that I see is my translation.

Here is what I did:

I opened Workbench and went to File and open the TM that I saved on my desktop. And when I want to check words, I use Concordance in the ttx. document by highlighting the word. Is there something I could have done differently?

It annoys me that I can't use the TM.

Thank you for your help.

Tried Concordance directly in Trados? Jul 12, 2008

I wonder: What happens when you use the Concordance (key F3) directly in Trados? Do you see any results?

Also, are you sure the memory really contains previous translations? You can check how many segments it has by choosing File > Properties > Translation Units in Workbench.

It's quite possible that your customer has sent you an empty memory just so that you use the right language combination in TagEditor.

You are right! Jul 12, 2008

You are right on everything. It looks like that my client sent me an empty memory. I just didn't expect it will be empty.

However, I learned something new today thanks to you!

Thank you Tomas for your help.
