Hi all,

Hi all,
After 2 attempts, I'm planning to make the transition from Transit XV to Transit NXT. The first attempt failed because of the lack of stability of Transit NXT directly after it's release. The second attempt failed because of interference between XV and NXT in Windows XP, resulting in terminology recognition not working in NXT (I use MSDE in XV) after installing SP 24 or 25.
By that time I had invested quite some time in creating a role and view that suits my needs (best described as 'Clean Screen Policy'). Since then I've made the transition to OS X (iMac). I've created a Virtual Machine with Windows XP and Transit NXT (to isolate both Transit versions from each other).
With Service Pack 3 and support for Word 2007 coming up, it's maybe time for me to start working with NXT. Antonin's information that handling XV projects in NXT causes no problems, gave me the necessary push. I do, however, have this question:
Q: Why is it necessary to convert legacy language projects from XV to NXT? How did the file format change?
I know that XV uses UTF-16, what does NXT use? UTF-8?
