Hello dear colleagues,
I have a problem with my Winalign. I have recently reinstalled Trados due to other problems which I solved thanks to this forum, but when I try aligning files now, I get the error message :
(70157) This document is not supported by the plug-in architecture.

I have Trados version 6.5.5.438 and my computer is working on Windows XP.

Any idea what can cause this problem?

Registered the software after reinstallation? Apr 29, 2005

Hi Chantal,
I have recently reinstalled Trados due to other problems which I solved thanks to this forum, but when I try aligning files now, I get the error message :

Did you re-register the software after reinstalling it?
What file type are you trying to align?

restarted and re-registered Apr 29, 2005

I restarted my computer and re-registered and now it works fine, sorry to have bothered you, thanks again for the great help you provide us,

Huh?!! Re-registering?

I installed the latest build (441) and since then (? could be other things too I guess, but that upgrade is my suspect #1) I have been getting very nasty -%10digit% Illegal index errors. Cant dependably pretranslate etc - so I am already thinking of moving back to 438 ... Reading this trail ... could it be I am missing something? Like "re-registering"?

TiA and solving my Illegal index would be a whale of a help.

Registering Trados Apr 30, 2005

Hi,
Not sure if your problems are related, but whenever there are communication problems among Trados components and/or with other software applications, (re-)registering might help:

Start - Programs - Trados 6.5 - Register Trados 6.5

I found it - and It is rather prosaic... May 1, 2005

The reason for my illegal index was a sloppy definition of the rebuilt TM (or TMs for that matter). The TM base side needed a few seconds of attention and presto, things are back to normal.

Thanks all the same, Ralf, your comment somewhere else hinting into this general direction gave me the idea.

Regarding error 70157 and 70156 Jan 31, 2011

Dear Friends,

I am new to trados winalign . The errors 70157 and 70156 have really become a block in my TM process and are very frustrating .

Can anyone help me out and provide me with a step wise solution. Please help me out , would be your greatness.
