in its heydays

Mint elképzelés. Még a splendour jut eszembe.

Talán nem szokás jelenidőben alkalmazni.

további: "was on its height"
Peer comment(s):

agree Ibolya Pal : The factory was in its heyday in the 70s. Ebben a szerkezetben / formában egyesszámban használatos.

agree juvera : Mint többen megjegyezték, egyesszám, mert a heyday időszakot (period) jelent, nem "nap"-ot.

Vagy lehet: "The factory was in its full glory in the 70s."
Peer comment(s):

agree Katalin Szilárd : A 2. szerintem jobb: "in its full glory". Ügyes vagy! :) Szívesen. Ha a glory-val szeretnéd írni, akkor "the glorious days of..."

has its best days

The factory had its best days in the 70s.
Note from asker:
Köszönöm!
Peer comment(s):

agree John Detre : I think this might be the best solution. "Prime," "glory," "heyday" are all correct, but they seem a bit much for a factory.

in its prime

Simply, by way of offering another possible form of expression for the idea such as "The factory was in its prime during the 70s".
The phrase also provides the opportunity to describe gradual processed such as "The factory came to its prime during the 70s".
While I do like 'heyday(s)' it can sound a little flippant depending on context.
I would also think that use of 'heyday' might suggest that the factory is now in decline or well past its former glory days, whereas 'in its prime' does not foreshadow the present so strongly.

Example sentence:

"Certainly, film noir was in its prime during the late 40s and 50s..."

"....is just as potent to Bolan collectors on Ebay 30 years on as it was in its prime."
