I\'m just starting and would really like to know which are the translation memory programs available, which is the best, and are there any free?

Have a look at the CAT Tool Center Mar 7, 2003

...under \"Miscellaneous\" in the navigation on the left-hand side of your screen. Pretty much all the info you need.

OmegaT is free. Download a copy from

You will also need the Java Runtime Environment (unless you have a Mac), and to get the best out of OmegaT, you should

also have the OpenOffice.org office suite. Both the Java Runtime Environment and OpenOffice.org are also free, but quite

large downloads.
