My name is Peter xxx; I will be going on my annual leave on the xxx & my wife and I, along with our 2 children will be coming to New
Zealand on holiday for 10 days. We will be staying from Sunday xxxh of xx2011 to Wednesday xxth of xx 2011. My wife who does not speak English,
requires the services of an Interpreter/Translator for 5hours per day for
the duration of our stay. Your duties will be mainly to escort/guide her
and our two children during shopping and sightseeing. We will be renting a
car, so transportation will not be a problem.

If you are available to render your service, I would greatly appreciate it
if you could advise the languages you specialize in and your coverage
cities/areas. Please let me know the total costs of your service for
5hours per day for 10days.

I'm 40 years old and a senior accountant, working with Butterworth
Textiles Limited here in the United Kingdom. I look forward to hearing
from you, have a great day and God bless.

Many thanks,
Peter xxx

One question May 10, 2011

It's very strange that there's no mention of in 'which' language pair of interpretor(s) this so-called Peter needs. Or is the posting edited??

No language specified May 10, 2011

It is not specified what language the wife speaks. One might assume that she is fluent in all languages but English, as this was sent to interpreters of various languages.

I received this letter too May 11, 2011

I am a Russian interpreter living in New Zealand. I also received this e-mail yesterday and thought first it was from a good client . I noticed that the language was not specified but I also thought he got my details from proz.com or some other web-site where I am registered. I replied to his letter thinking it was a genuine one. After that I received the warning from NZSTI. Today I received another letter from him which included some of the details from my own letter. Such a big disappointme... See more

I am thankful to NZSTI for the warning.
