Have you ever heard of the gentleman thief?

Well, I always found him a very charming character, unlike who just sent me a Wishing You a New Year of Wonderous Possibilities card.

You just can't argue with class!

That said, I take the occasion to wish you all a Wonderful 2010

Happy New Year from Raffles Dec 31, 2009

Yes, I've heard of the gentleman thief. His name was Raffles. Here he is as played by David Niven.

Another gentleman thief was Robin Hood, shown here played by Errol Flynn.

Errol Flynn and David Niven were great friends, and I sure they saw more than one New Year in together.

David Niven also played yet another gentleman thief, the Pink Panther.

Happy New year from all of them!

I wonder if the series' less-than-flattering treatment of Sherlock Holmes has led to English publishers and booksellers to shun them.

Lupin Feb 27, 2021

Apparently there's also a French show called Lupin available on Netflix, which is a rip-of...I mean, similar to BBC's Sherlock in placing "Lupin" in the present day.
