Dear colleagues & freelancers,

Without a doubt, the freelancing workforce is on the rise. Although freelancers enjoy the flexibility of their work, they also face many challenges.

Can you please fill this brief survey in order to help clients understand freelancers’ concerns/challenges?

This survey is a part of a research paper and is completely anonymous.

Can someone kindly explain why every 5 minutes someone wants to do a survey about translators?

Love-bombing: the strong eats the weak Apr 9, 2019

Tom, don't worry: While it also can be just another trick to influence freelancers, wannabes, and bystanders in attempt to change the public opinion, hardly could it fool a clever mind. It's just marketing (correlating one's demand with other's supply; including researches to gain even more profits), nothing personal.

As for the topic, the core of most problems is one wants to take away or steal bread from the other.
In this case, it's about greedy agencies exploiting speechless non-businessmen ("translators") using "discounts" and other lame excuses. Shortly, most even decent translators are not an equal party for middlemen, let alone end clients.

As once an ex-translator who opened an agency replied:
Not cheating such a sucker is like stealing from myself!

Nobody's making you click on it.

Kay, on the other hand they may play old-time "foot-in-the-door" trick: first asking for a little favor as answering short polls, then requesting even higher "repetition discounts" and payment after 366 days, and gradually switching to free translation demands)

The OP didn't specify why they want me to spend time filling in their survey. So your answer is speculative.

But it is correct that nobody's making me click on it. That is incontrovertible.
