Biografie
To my distinguished colleagues and potential clients,
I was born in Romania and lived in the USA for the past 25 years.
I am extremely passionate about foreign languages, translations and interpretations in almost any field or domain of activity, and have worked in this field for the past 30 years.
I enjoy new challenges and continuously try to improve my skills, knowledge and competencies by participating at meetings - MATI, CHICATA, NAJIT, IAPTI, NLSC - as often as these events occur, mainly in the Chicago area but also willing to travel nationwide or globally for conference interpretation events.
I became a Romanian-French-English Court Translator and Federal Court Interpreter for the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago, in July of 2000, and assisted the court, along with many other Il and statewide counties, in a variety of cases and capacities, from criminal court to family court or trial division courts, judge or prosecutor chamber proceedings, private lawyer's office cases, worker's compensation, physician doctor's private offices, social workers work or Romanian community immigration law documents, naturalization interview preparations and city hall (mixed marriages, divorce proceedings) work.
I am state certified in Illinois for Romanian and applied successfully for reciprocity in 32 states. I am also familiar and provide RSI / OPI / VRI professional interpretation services globally to companies such as Transperfect, KUDO, Interprenet, Lionbridge and SOSI for immigration court,
I do provide certified translations of legal documents, divorce decrees, diplomas, official transcripts, death certificates, marriage licenses, analytical curricula, and can further provide these documents certified, notarized or original documents that require an Apostille affixed.
Looking forward to assist the community and new clients with the same passion, dedication and professionalism for the 5 languages I am currently providing services both as interpreter and translator, namely Romanian, French, Italian, French Creole and Moldovan.
