I am familiar with the abbreviations used for arteries such as cx for circumflex branch, mg for left internal mammary artery etc, but was surprised to come across the following in an angioplasty procedure report: "Sténose significative CX1, sténose significative CD1, CD2, CD3".
How do we translate these into English? Do we say "Significant stenosis of circumflex 1. Significant stenosis of right coronary artery 1, right coronary artery 2 and right coronary artery 3."? It is not something I have come across before, so your assistance is appreciated!

For CX1 I would say "proximal circumflex segment" or "proximal segment of the Cx".

OK I see what Manu49 means - segments 1, 2 and 3 according to the AHA correspond to the RCA, as my link above indicates. It is a pity he just throws in a translation without giving any explanation.
