Conflict transformation
I'm translating a document about conflict in the DRC.
Is anyone able to help with the acronym "VS"?
I was thinking it could be a type of vehicle (véhicles de santé) or something to do with the militia in the area. Or it could be an acronym that refers to a specific group of people.
For further context, this text simply appears in a text bubble on a diagram about different key drivers of the conflict in the area under study, so it's not part of a larger paragraph.
Many thanks in advance.

Discussion

Sexual violence is a driver of conflict and conflict-related sexual violence is inevitable whilst there is war. Ask women from the Democratic Republic of the Congo what needs to be done;
