Having doubts here. Do we say that someone is "on a committee" or "in a committee"???
In America we say " on" -but a non-native speaker suggested "in". Would this be a BE alternative?
The actual context is that a group represents a regional administration on/in a technical committee.
Thanks for clearing up this doubt.

Why don't you send a paragraph of the context so we can really help you?

in is definitely not right but propositions are always the hardest part of grammar for anyone whatever the language they are learning. It is not only English that is difficult.
Hope this helps.

Note from asker:
The sentence is simply as I said in the question: XXX represents the regional government in/on a technical committee. I also think on sounds better, but I wanted to be sure |
In fact, I was sure about sitting "on" a committee - here it was the verb "represents" that threw me off. |
