Asker: Pois é Marlene, eu já tinha visto uma foto e sabia do que se trata (apesar de que no meu texto o termo foi citado como "dot hi" separado mesmo) eu só não sabia qual seria a melhor forma de traduzir o [pano] que aparece no texto logo depois do "dot hi". Mas pelo que vi no seu link, é um pano mesmo... um pano longo que é enrolado no corpo e usado como veste.

agree  Martin Riordan: This is a good possibility which fits the context. "Dhoti" could easily become "dot hi" with OCR, bad translation, etc.
