Vairs neatceros no bioloģijas stundām, kāpēc tieši šie vienšūņi tiek tā nosodīti un lamāti par pelēkiem, neievērojamiem un primitīviem (arī tulkojums "primitīvs" varētu būt viens no variantiem). Būtu arī sasaiste ar "pond life".

Šķiet, ka, tagad, noteikti ietekmējoties arī no krievu valodas šajā pašā izpratnē tiek lietots jēdziens "ofisa planktons". Ceru, ka man nav jāmeklē rokās virtuālā krievu klaviatūra, lai uzrakstītu, kā tas būtu krieviski. Pats gan es izvairītos no šāda tulkojuma, bet var būt, ka Latvijā tas šobrīd tiek lietots vēl biežāk.
