Syntax or punctuation problem The sentence is badly written. The following make sense:
"for determining which of the plurality of batteries provides power";
"for determining which, several or all, of the plurality of batteries provides power";
but note that the second version would exclude the possibility of just a single battery providing power.

However, the following does not make sense:
"for determining several of the plurality of batteries provides power".

As the verb "provides" is in the singular, the subject must be "which", unless the writer has a very poor grasp of English grammar. I think that the most likely option is that the writer made an error of punctuation and that the correct version is the one in bold above. However, it would be best to check with the client.
