@ Sazo - if the text does not make clear from the context whether it is a car or vehicle, then you might be best with using 'you' or choosing either one or the other.

Idle is correct in the sense described alluded to Marija but it is more everyday language and not 'bureaucratic'. It can be used about people too and unless you are very specific about creating a connection to a vehicle or car, then it will not read clearly IMO.
