French term

qui s'affirment sans avoir besoin de s'afficher

French to English Marketing Cosmetics, Beauty fragrance
The "etat d'esprit" of a line of fragrances:

Porter un parfum X, c'est avant tout un etat d'esprit: celui d'hommes et de femmes qui s'affirment sans avoir besoin de s'afficher, dont le charisme, l'elegance et l'attitude font la personalite et la force.

Anything I have come up with sounds extremely wordy, but it needs to be as catchy as possible since it is featured on the inside cover of a style guide.

for people who stand out from the crowd ... naturally!

for people you notice ... naturally!
for people who don't need to flaunt to be the focus of attention

It's true that once you start trying to translate the original concept it gets wordy, so I think you have to rephrase

confidence without arrogance

"Wearing perfume X is above all a state of mind: confidence without arrogance..."

I've boiled it down to its essential elements, plus I've tried to get some of the sound effect of 's'affirment' and 's'afficher' with 'confidence...arrogance'.

All nonsense, of course, but then isn't that what perfume advertising is all about? :-)

who want to make a statement without being overpowering

without feeling the need to overpower

I do not appreciate it when someone's perfume precedes them - it's actually one of my pet peeves :-)
