Examination reveals enophthalmos in the left eye with what sounds to be like an orbital floor fracture. He does have comeal oedema and guttata in the left eye and he notices his vision blurring in the morning. This is indicative of comeal decompensation. He has a grossly normal field. The right cornea is clear and the fundi appeared normal. I arranged for him to have OCTs of the cornea and maculae done today and indeed his maculae appeared normal which is good news. I think in the first instance he needs to have his orbital floor fracture investigated and I would be grateful if you could refer him to xxx for this. He also needs a refraction and I would recommend xxx here at Moorfields.
