I am considering investing on a CAT program. I understand and believe I would like to purchase DejaVu because of the good feedback I\'ve seen regarding the program; however, most of the job postings I\'ve seen, request Trados.
What is your advice in this regard? Should I purchase DejaVu or go with Trados. And, if I chose to purchase DejaVu, do agencies or companies that request Trados accept translators that use DejaVu?

A point for Deja Vu

I have seen comments on other lists from translators who use both that DV handles Trados files better than Trados does.

Have you considered buying Wordfast. I\'ve been using it for some time and I really like it, it\'s easy to use, compatible with TradOS and a lot cheaper too!

Deja Vu is better
Mar 5, 2003
I bought Trados 5.5 Freelance last year, but after having purchased Deja Vu a couple of months later I am only using this one every time I am requested to use Trados. Deja Vu X should be available very soon as a free upgrade if you buy Deja Vu 3 now, and we all expect that it will surpass the competitors by a very large margin.
Kind regards [addsig]
