Swedish term

avtala om någons rätt

Swedish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
A construction contract:

Entreprenören skall avtala om beställarens rätt till kontroll på fabrik vid tillverkning eller före leverans av fabrikstillverkade komponenter.

"agree to" sounds too simplistic - but "grant the client the right" begs the question of agency.

maybe "accede the client's right?"

Or is there an official legal understanding for this term, as in, a separate contract must be signed to grant this right?

enter into an agreement concurring in/affirming/ someone's right

Could be verbally or likelier in a sep. contract.

'Acquiesce in' connotes acceptance of a negative state of affairs. 'Assent to' vs. 'accede to' is a political or legalistic/probate conveyancing process. Concur with s.o. in sthg.

Example sentence:

affirmation of rights www.columbia.edu/cu/ipsg/eld/eld_amishra.html
