Googeln bringt hier leider nichts, ich hoffe auf einen Kollegen, der den Begriff schon mal gehört/verwendet hat:

Bei im Gesenk hergestellten Flanschen kann der Probensatz dem beim Lochen anfallenden Ausfallbutzen entnommen werden.

agree  Marion Sprafke: ich kenne "ausfall" als sfrido, dessen bin ich mir sicher. Auch im täglichen Leben spricht man von "Ausfallware" = merce fallata. .... "doppelt gemoppelt ? Hält ja bekanntlich besser"

  -> certo! come ho fatto non pensarci... Ausfall in questo caso è dunque "doppelt gemoppelt"
