I have come across this posted earlier on Proz but not getting it as it was answered from French to other language

neutral  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: I agree with your idea, in so far as this refers to an existing example. (Note: "prototype" and "example" refer to existing structures). "An existing example" works, but the syntax and tense for the 2nd suggestion are erroneous.

For this suggestion, I had consulted an online dictionary with synonyms in order to come up with a couple of nuanced meanings. I may be right, I may be wrong; it may be more nuanced than that! However, as indicated by my confidence level, this is NOT guesswork. Had that been the case, I would have said so!
