En los glosarios de Microsoft:
Driver = controlador
Backup = copia de seguridad

Donde trabajo (Canon Inc.) usamos "manejador" para "driver" (archivo de software), porque también hay "controllers" (controladores) de hardware y tenemos que diferenciar entre ambos.

Igual, creo que "controlador" es el término de mayor uso.
