Metacommunication - All these non-verbal elements of communication are sometimes called ‘metacommunication’, from the Greek word ‘meta’ meaning‘beyond’ or ‘in addition to’. ‘Metacommunication’ is thereforesomething ‘in addition to the communication’ and we must always beaware of its existence.
Basically, metacommunication refers to "non-verbal" communication. 飛口語的傳播。
也有人稱之為「溝通的溝通」；just like metadata is "the data of the data", metacommunication sometimes refers to "the communication of communication". 比如說，咱倆開始溝通以前，先讓我們來談談我們的溝通方式。

: yes, I agree with 後設傳播(溝通), but i'm afraid not the others (e.g. not 非口語的傳播: non-verbal communication). meta-communication is communication about communciation, a reflective thinking after and about the communication that has happened, just my

Thanks Carol. Agree it might be too general to define as "non-verbal communication but I did find it exist in my researches. I guess since metacommunication is mostly "implying", "referring", or "message behind message", some people take it as non-verbal.
