Spanish term

viajes en comisión de servicios

Spanish to English Law/Patents Human Resources labour terminology
Most normally, you'd call these "business trips" (in justifying expenses, for ex.), but what if the person were a serviceman who had to repair a plant or heavy machinery, or a civil servant sent out on inspection tour? My context is labour relations within an airline company, in which, say, maintenance personnel had to be sent to another airport across the country. TIA.

Could also apply to airline personnel cabin crew, etc.

work-related travel

Or, depending how it appears in your text, you might reformulate it; for example if the focus is on expenses or reimbursements, it might simply appear as travel expenses, travel costs, or travel reimbursements.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "this was so general (even as defined in the CBA) that I had to call them service trips. One problem was that personnel travel in an airline company is an everyday affair for hundreds of employees! But this was the closest answer,"

maintenance trips

Check the reference below - I think it fits your context:

When technical problems arise, the responding technician is required to travel to a remote location, costing the Navy time and money. The network-centric maintenance concept will help define the problem upfront, so that adequate resources and properly trained technicians are assigned to the task. By allowing a remotely stationed subject-matter expert to be virtually on site with the ability to guide on-site personnel, many maintenance trips would be eliminated altogether. In addition, remote repair facilities could provide a more effective and faster repair cycle, since the subject-matter expert would be immediately available. The subject-matter expert would support multiple repairs at multiple locations.

How about \'crew transfers\' or if it refers to airlines as well?
