1) aire de jeux I understand, bâtiment d'aire de jeux confuses me!
2) Since this is a shopping centre, might it be a "side mall" branching off from the "main mall" and leading to the play area? It could have "boutiques" on it, like the "main mall", or just toilets, service rooms, etc. as is often the case with such "side corridors".
