spiccare Explanation: It's a strange expression, which I have never heard before. We would usually say "to stick out like a sore thumb", which means "spiccare, farsi notare (perche' fuori posto), essere molto evidente, colpire l'occhio, stonare, stridere". I'm pretty sure they're trying to say the same thing here, although in a slightly ambiguous fashion. |
