Would "foolproof" be a good translation here? It may well be accurate, but the reader (chefs) might conclude that the company thinks they are fools? (The German does not say "idiotensicher" either!!)
In catering, this means that eg. if the cooking instructions for pasta states the cooking time at 5 minutes, the pasta will not go soggy eg. after 3 minutes.
Would be grateful for suggestions that take into account the marketing aspect as well as the professional catering field.

: "Idiotproof" might be insulting, but this is enough of a set phrase that it should be OK I'd have thought.

Comment: "Thanks everybody for your reaction - we were able to suggest a few translations to customer, including foolproof - which we could now justify to a non-native speaker of English!"

surefire
I agree with Brigitte about providing the original sentence, but how about "surefire", meaning "certain to get successful or expected results"?

Oh, I didn\'t see the soggy pasta bit. Still, the German original/context would help ...

... vegetarian pasta cookbook features fail-safe cooking instructions and easy-to-follow preparation tips.
