I'm reasonably sure a "seed tower" on such a machine holds the supply of seed, which is then fed to the planting arms. Since "tower" is singular, it sounds like this tower is wide enough to cover two "zones," which probably means rows. (The meaning of "zone" may be clarified elsewhere in the manual.)
