Produs obţinut prin brichetarea materialului mărunt sau pulverulent, în forme geometrice regulate (paralelipipedice, ovoidale etc.), în vederea transportului, a folosirii sau a prelucrării lui ulterioare. 2. (În sintagma) Brichetă furajeră = furaj combinat, în stare presată, folosit pentru hrana cabalinelor, bovinelor şi ovinelor. – Din fr. briquette.

Eastern Shore Forest Products is constructing a $2 million plant to produce briquettes from poultry litter. The briquettes will be marketed for use as animal feed and as fuel for gasification systems or direct-fired boilers or generators.
