Das Modul 1 wird als "Introduction and Acknowledgements" bezeichnet. Weiter unten im Vertrag folgt unter dem Begriff "Acknowledgements" dann

Kann ich "Acknowledgements" hier in diesem Vertrag einfach mit "Bestätigungen" übersetzen oder ist "Anerkennung" üblicher?

Wer kennt sich hier aus? Bin für jeden Hinweis dankbar.

Aber wenn im Englischen p. üblich ist, im Deutschen jedoch nicht (für Verträge), dann würde ich ein für deutsche Verträge typisches Wort wählen.

Es ist richtig, dass der Text vom Englischen ins Deutsche übertragen wird. Er wurde aber von einem englischen Unternehmen verfasst.

A preamble is a very common element of an Anglo-Saxon contract.

Präambel can be found in e.g. the Grundgesetz and the like. Too pompous for a normal contract.

@ Annett This is a crazy text. Actually, I feel that Präambel is a very good translation for Introduction. But I must admit that I prefer Erklärungen for Acknowledgements. I could pretty much justify lumping Introduction + Acknowledgements together in Prämbel, because the signature at the bottom of the contract is the agreement to everything included on the whole paper.
On the other hand, why/how do they call something Introduction that comes in the middle of the contract? If they call it an Introduction, I guess you can call it a Präambel.
You might have to cut through the mustard here and make your own decision. Like I said, this seems to be a crazy text.

Nur zur Info Normalerweise bedeutet "Acknowledgements" in einer Veröffentlichung, z.B. Buch oder Diplom-/Magister-/Doktorarbeit "Danksagung". Sonst handelt es sich des öfteren auch um das Impressum.

Hi Mary, do you think that "Präambel" would also fit here, even if it is in the middle of the contract? I thought "Präambel" is always used at the beginning of a contract?
Thank you for your help. "Acknowledgements" occured two times in my text. I choose "Präambel" for the heading. I would have liked to give you half of the points, but that is not possible - unfortunately.
