Cannot open a TM in SDLx 2007

Hello,

I received a job to proofread/QM in SDLx 2007. I have the itd file along with the TM, the mdb file. Unfortunately, I am unable to open the TM at all or any other TM as a matter of fact. It looks like all the TMs are closed.

Indeed, I don't even see a list of TMs when I click on the "bar" that says "none".

What is the problem? I will appreciate any help on that matter.

Use Translation Memory > Open Jun 19, 2009

Hi Morgane17,

I assume you are trying to open a TM via the drop-down list at the left of the TM toolbar. This list only contains TMs that were previously opened.

If you want to open a 'new' TM you need to select Translation Memory > Open and browse to the folder were it is saved. Alternatively you can click the first button on the right of the drop-down list.

Thank you for your reply.

I have done both the drop down list and the Translation Memory > Open and browse to the folder were it is saved. It doesn't work. The drop down list doesn't show me the TM that I am supposed to have opened and the "none" is still there.

I am kind of lost!

And the Open Translation Memory dialog just disappears and there is no error message?

This is really weird and has never happened to me before. Even if the TM is read or write protected or something like that there should at least be an error message.

Weird indeed... and I am notgoing to try to figure it out. I uninstalled and reinstalled SDLx. It works and I am able to open the TM now.
