Well, Tala. You could be speaking the truth and in that case I'm sorry, but you should know that people won't immediately believe you because 1) bots or fake accounts are real on this website and 2) your profile is next to anonymous. [/quote]

Thank you, I find this a little strange, but I assure you I am not a bot, and you are right about my profile, but I am still working on it, and could use some advice on this please.

I wouldn't be surprised. Half of the forum content contains criticism of this website's decline, not exactly something you really like as a website owner, I suppose.

Website staff is also very selective in its responses. I've questioned the privacy of the Pastey app on 3 different occasions, but I'm still waiting for a response or confirmation. How is that even possible if you're a serious business who wants to attract as many happy users as possible? It goes beyond me.

Some retire (Sheila), some pass away (Kay-Victor), others get banned/get irritated and leave (Chris, Mervyn?, several others I can think of). Kind of surprised that ProZ.com doesn't realize that sanitizing/bowdlerizing the forums will only hasten their decline. Or maybe it doesn't care?

I keep meaning to scrape the forums and get some quantitive figures to establish this decline, but I can never find the time.

I'm afraid the forums are dying. There is clearly less and less interaction and it seems several regular users (including me) are losing their interest more and more. I don't know where those new accounts come from, but they seem to be a rather desperate attempt to create some discussion here.

Does anybody know when exactly the new website will be implemented, by the way?

It would be useful if new users, whoever they are and wherever they come from, in order to get valid responses, would first take the trouble to complete their profiles so that we as more frequent users can form a better idea of who they are and rule out bot traffic...

Why do you think it's unlikely?!
Palestinians are just like anyone else. They are skilled, educated, and many of them are multilingual.
There is nothing preventing them from joining forums like this.
