Es ist das Wissen und die Leistungsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiter, die die Voraussetzung für den Erfolg der GISA schafft. Daher spielt eine kontinuierliche Mitarbeiterförderung eine wichtige Rolle.
Die GISA verfügt über exzellent qualifizierte und hoch motivierte Mitarbeiter, die sich mit dem Unternehmen identifizieren, wie aus den Mitarbeiterbefragungen der letzten Jahre hervorgeht.
Das Unternehmen hat sich im Geschäftsjahr 2006 nochmals mit IT-Fachkräften verstärkt. Die Zahl der Beschäftigten stieg auf 374 zum Stichtag 31. Dezember 2006. Im Jahresdurchschnitt waren 366 Mitarbeiter im Unternehmen beschäftigt (inkl. der durchschnittlichen Anzahl Auszubildender).
Besonders hohen Personalbedarf verzeichneten die Bereiche Anwendungsbetreuung und Prozessberatung.
Aufgrund der großen Dynamik des IT-Marktes müssen sich Unternehmen ständig den veränderten Bedingungen, wie z.B. technischem Fortschritt oder wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen, anpassen. Erfolgreich kann ein Unternehmen nur dann sein, wenn es geschafft wird, seine Mitarbeiter für diese ständigen Änderungen und Neuerungen fit zu machen.
Bei der GISA wird daher jeweils zu Jahresbeginn ein spezieller Personalentwicklungsplan erstellt, der die aktuellen Anforderungen an die IT-Spezialisten berücksichtigt. So wird gewährleistet, dass sich das Know-how der Fachleute immer auf aktuellstem Wissensstand befindet.
Die Investitionen in die Weiterbildung und Qualifizierung der Mitarbeiter beliefen sich 2006 auf 623 T€. Die Schwerpunkte lagen auf SAP-Lösungen, Projektmanagement und neuen Technologien.

Our employees' knowledge and eagerness to perform is what creates the premises for GISA's success; hence, continued support of employees plays an important part in the company's structure.
GISA oversees well-qualified and highly motivated employees who identify with the company, as the consultation of staff last year shows.
The number of IT technicians working for the company this year has increased; the number of employees in this field rose to 374 by the deadline of 31st December 2006. On average this year, 366 workers were employed by the company (including trainees). The applications and legal advice departments were particularly in demand.
Due to the rapid movement of the IT market, companies must constantly adapt to changing conditions, such as technical advances or economic circumstances. A company can only be successful if it ensures that its employees are capable of dealing with these constant changes and innovations.
A special personal development plan, which takes current demands on IT specialists into consideration, will be formulated at GISA from the beginning of the year onwards, guaranteeing that expert knowledge in this field will always be at its most up-to-date.
The investments in continuing education and qualification of employees this year came to 623 000€. The remaining focus points were SAP solutions, project management and new technology.
I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2007 with a BA (Honours - Upper Second Class) in German and Spanish, and returned later that year to do a Masters in Translation and Interpreting Studies. I am currently hoping to gain some experience as a freelancer. My second language (and favourite language!) is German, but I also want to maintain my French and Spanish.
I am currently based in the UK.
As an aside, my specialist interests are football / soccer, birds, mushrooms, 20th century German history, and rock music.
