MARSALIS O jazz é a expresión dos Estados Unidos. É unha forma de arte que nos dá un xeito indoloro de entendernos a nós mesmos. O poder verdadeiro do jazz, a súa innovación, é que un grupo de xente se pode unir e crear arte, arte improvisada, e esa xente negocia para tocar xunta, esa negociación é a arte. Oímos a miúdo que Bach improvisaba e así era, pero non lle dicía ao segundo viola “vamos tocar Eine Feste Burg”. Iso non o ían facer, pero no jazz podes... podo xuntar xente. Podo ir a Milwakee mañá e vou atopar tres músicos. Entro nun bar ás 2.30 da mañá e digo “Que queres tocar, tío? Vamos tocar un blues”. E os tres, os catro imos empezar a tocar e eu podo facer... E eles... Todos imos empezar a tocar e a escoitar e o baixo... ese nunca se sabe que vai facer. Esa é a nosa arte. Agora os catro podemos ter un diálogo, unha conversación. Falámonos coa linguaxe da música.

Ce film réalisé par Jean RENOIR n’a pu être, pour des raisons de force majeure, tout à fait terminé. En l’absence de Jean Renoir, actuellement en Amérique, soucieux de respecter son œuvre et d’en conserver le caractère, nous avons décidé de vous le présenter tel qu’il est.
Pour le rendre compréhensible, nous y avons ajouté deux sous-titres.

M.Dufour, quincaillier à Paris, entouré de sa belle-mère, de sa femme, de sa fille et de son commis Anatole qui est aussi son futur gendre et son futur successeur, a décidé, après avoir emprunté la voiture de son voisin le laitier, en ce dimanche de l’été 1860, d’aller se retrouver face à face avec la nature.

Y a du poisson ?
LE GOSSE
