Bio

Technical translator since 1999, with a background in Medical Engineering. I hold a PhD in Biomedical Electronic Engineering (2020), an MSc in Biodevices (2015) and a BEng in Medical Engineering (2014).

My experience as a translator:

Biomedical industry: I collaborate with several translation agencies specialised in scientific texts with hundreds of projects completed, in particular instruction manuals, clinical trials and peer-reviewed papers published on specialised journals (over 200,000 words translated).

Translation of questionnaires, interviews with healthcare professionals, bulletins, surveys for a Healthcare Market Research company based in the UK (hundreds of projects, approx. 500,000 words translated).

For the Technology sector, I collaborate with Leica Geosystems for the translation of technical texts and marketing material of their products (laser scanners, LiDAR, 3d surveillance, VR). Approx. 200,000 words translated.

Automotive industry, mainly Service Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, User Manuals for major automotive companies (Toyota, Honda, Saab, Hummer), with hundreds of projects completed and more than one million words translated over more than a decade.

After completing my PhD in Biomedical Electronics, in 2020 I started working as a Research Engineer at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, where I am responsible of the development of technologies for biosensing for the marine environment.

Since then, I collaborate exclusively in highly specialised translation projects, mainly for the biomedical and energy sectors and texts for electronic devices for the industrial sector.
