Translator and Interpreter certified through Certificate of Competence issued by Universidad Nacional de Colombia, acknowledged by the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a certified translator and interpreter, I am authorized to translate legal documents such as diplomas, certificates and vital records, among others.

I have 9 years of experience in the translation of general, legal, educational, religious, cultural, artistic, cooperation and journalistic documents. I have also translated text on sports, marketing, tourism, human resources, entrepreneurship, accounting, brewing and agriculture. My greatest achievement as a translator so far has been the participation in the translating team of La Biblia de la Reforma. This Bible was published in 2014 by Editorial Concordia. I reviewed and edited the Old Testament.

In the field of interpretation, I have worked as a consecutive interpreter for intergovernmental meetings for education and employment, and rugby and basketball workshops. I have also acted as an interpreter and liaison for foreign visitors to Colombia.

As a proofreader I have worked on publications for customers in the United States and indexed scientific articles for the magazine of the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada.

My undergraduate degree in Communications and Journalism provides me with strong composition, message and speech construction skills, in addition to my versatility, motivation, attention to detail, responsibility, punctuality, resourcefulness, agility and concentration.

I am able to deliver translation assignments in Deja Vu (CAT tool), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Corel Draw and website localization, among others.

I am a member of ProZ.com translator community and am in the process of joining the Colombian Association of Translators and Interpreters (ACTI).

I am currently training in consecutive interpretation and am in charge of all translation and interpretation responsibilities for the newborn Bogota International Film Festival - BIFF, where I translate different kind of documents, including films subtitles.
