¡Buenas! Estoy traduciendo unas recetas de cocina y no tengo muy claro cómo traducir CUCUMBER UME (el ingrediente principal de un rollito de sushi). También aparece en la introducción de la receta así: "the cucumber filling has a dash of ume for tangy flavour". Mis propuestas son respectivamente: PEPINO CON UME (ALBARICOQUE JAPONÉS) / el relleno de pepino tiene un toque de ume para darle un sabor fuerte y ácido. Según he leído, "El ume (梅) o ciruelo japonés (también llamado albaricoque japonés) es un tipo de fruta muy valorada en Japón, no solo por formar parte de la gastronomía de ese país, sino por poseer una de las flores más bellas y retratadas de la pintura japonesa, la flor del ciruelo", pero dudo entre dejar UME o ALBARICOQUE JAPONÉS.

Según he podido encontrar, ume paste es pasta umeboshi pero en el contexto que os he mencionado tengo mis dudas.

Por lo que he leído el ingrediente que se usa en esos rollitos no es la ciruela ume (un tipo de ciruela japonesa) fresca, sino es la pasta hecha con esas ciruelas encurtidas.

Asker: Muchísimas gracias! la verdad que sí que lo se aplica es la pasta, no la ciruela en sí. Así quedaría: pepino con umeboshi el relleno de pepino tiene una pizca de umeboshi para darle un sabor fuerte y ácido. ¡¡Muchas gracias a los dos!!
