And why would I not use Pro all along? Mar 4, 2012

The process looks complicated. Many things can go wrong.
The advantage of WFC is that I can segment the text on the go. This is not possible if I preprocess like in this example.

Obviously, someone who is perfectly happy with Wordfast Pro will continue to use it. The method I described is aimed at people who prefer using Wordfast Classic (and there are lots of them).

Thank you, Dominique Mar 4, 2012

That sounds great !! I do prefer WFC, while WFP is intimidating to me.

Me too, I tried WF Pro for a day then went back to Classic. I didn't see any advantages in it for me since I only use the most basic functions and anything remotely resembling a complication - for example a different-looking interface or moving the position of a function key - not only puts me off, but makes me actively "bad mouth" the product in question to anyone in earshot. This goes for all software I use (am still fuming about Windows 7).

Wordfast Pro 3.0 is still beta Mar 5, 2012

As I said in my original post, it's "due to be released very soon". When it is released, it will be found at http://wordfast.com/store_download.html , like all public releases of Wordfast Pro.

Don't ask me about the exact date of release, I'm not the one who decides about such things.

Yes, I'm a beta tester. I'm not sure if there are openings for additional beta testers, but the person who decides about it will probably see this post and contact you, if there's a need for more beta testers.

Dominique, could you outline the sequence of basic steps that should be performed after translating all the source text using WordFast Classic ?
I mean : quality check, spelling check, reorganize memory, perform clean-up, etc. and the order in which these steps should be carried out.
