In spite of this, it remains an unanswered question of significance concerning how to build a shop into a time-honored century-old store. Two U.S. scholars, James C. Collins and Jerry Porras conducted a 6-year research project in the 90s. They selected 18 enterprises which have enjoyed prolonged prosperity in an attempt to find an answer, and the result of their research is the classic management book Built to Last. In fact, the book has answered some of the fundamental issues that all enterprises have to face: what are your products? What is your purpose?
