Source text - English The procedure before a labor inspector is merely conciliatory, but if the inspector identifies a straight violation of labor law (which is public policy), he/she will order the law to be abided by, as in the case of an employer having withheld from salary against the terms of Article 59 CLC as explained below. This will provide the employee with better grounding to sue before a labor judge in the event that the employer does not comply, whereat the claim would be not only for the unpaid worth of salary but also for the following expensive concept:
CLC "Article 65.- Indemnification for default in payment: If at termination of the contract, the employer does not pay the worker the salaries or benefits due, save for cases of withholding authorized by the law or convened by the parties, [the employer] must pay the worker, as indemnification, a sum equal to the last daily salary for each day of default up to twenty four (24) months, or until the payment is made if so in less time. If twenty four (24) months elapse counted as from the date of contract termination, (...), the employer shall pay the worker default interest at the maximum rate for commercial credit certified by XXX, as from the initiation of the twenty fifth (25) month until the payment is made." Thus, the employee would be entitled to a full day's worth of salary until the amount thought or known to be stolen by that same employee is reimbursed to him/her. This is a high cost.

In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
1. "Abandoned" means no longer in service and physically disconnected from a portion of the facility, or from any other facility, that is in use or still carries service.
2. "Apartment community" means any real property that has one or more structures and contains five or more dwelling units for rent or lease that are subject to title 33, chapter 10. For the purposes of this paragraph "dwelling unit" has the same meaning prescribed in section 33-1310.
3. "Building official" means the agency or officer employed by a political subdivision of this state and charged with the administration and enforcement of a building code to regulate the quality, type of material and workmanship of construction of buildings or structures.
4. "Careful and prudent manner" means conducting an excavation in such a way that when the excavation is less than or equal to twenty four inches from an underground facility that is marked with stakes or paint or in some customary manner, the facility is carefully exposed with hand tools, and the uncovered facility is supported and protected.
5. "Carefully" means acting with reasonable care under the circumstances.
6. "Cross culverts or similar roadway drainage facilities" means transverse drainage structures with both ends or openings visible including box culverts, drainage pipes or other covered structures.
7. "Detectible underground location device" means any device that is installed underground and that is capable of being detected from above ground with an electronic locating device.
8. "Excavation" means any operation in which earth, rock or other material in the ground is moved, removed or otherwise displaced by means or use of any tools, equipment or explosives and includes, without limitation, grading, trenching, digging, ditching, drilling, augering, boring, tunnelling, scraping, cable or pipe plowing and driving.
9. "Implied easement" means any easement or right of way on private property required to provide utility services by means of underground facilities in property of the owner requesting such service.

Über seinen Wunsch übernahm ich eine Seminararbeit über die Verfassungen der ehemaligen Kolonien Amerikas vor der großen Convention, aus der die amerikanische Bundesverfassung hervorging.
Mein Lehrer Hommes hatte uns zu großer Exaktheit des Ausdrucks angehalten und zu einem sehr intensiven Studium der herangezogenen Quellen aller Art. Ich war dennoch davon überzeugt, daß mir die europäischen Studenten überlegen waren, kam allerdings bei der ersten Seminarsitzung nicht aus dem Staunen heraus. Hier wurden, sehr zum Mißfallen des klugen Benediktiners, einfach Nacherzählungen vorgetragen. Man war über die geistige Enge der Nittelschule nur in wenigen Fällen hinausgelangt. Als ich mein Referat beendet hatte, lächelte Professor Hantsch mir zufrieden zu.
Ich hatte es mit einiger Umsicht vorbereitet, war natürlich infolge meiner Kenntnisse der amerikanischen Verfassung in einem gewissen Vorteil über meine Kollegen. Vorher warnte mich eine Sehr nette Kollegin, die neben mir saß:"Sagen Sie um Gottes willen nichts, was die "Demokratische Studentenschaft" ärgern könnte, diese ist ungeheuer mächtig und entscheidet darüber, wer zum Studium zugelassen wird".
