ROMANIAN GOVERNMENT WEBSITE-ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Prime Minister has stated that in Romania, the car industry is currently one of the strongest industrial branches and that its development in the future, from the viewpoint of the production, of sub-assemblies and components, in particular, is a priority for authorities.
'My project as well as of the Government is the creation of a strong auto industry in Romania. Potential investors can benefit from well skilled workforce, graduates of high and higher schools,' PM Tariceanu has stated. He has presented the successful experience of French car maker Renault, which took over Dacia car maker, and reminded that another big producer, Ford, he said, will soon finalize the take over of Daewoo plant in Craiova.
PM Calin Popescu-Tariceanu has invited the Japanese from Mitsubishi to examine ways to open a production facility in Romania, taking into account the experience of the group on the Romanian market.

“My project as well as the Government project is to establish a powerful automotive industry in Romania”. Moreover, “the potential investors could benefit from a high skilled workforce - high-school and university graduates” the Prime Minister stated. The head of the government depicted the successful experience of the French car manufacturer Renault with the acquisition of Dacia plant. He also prompted that another significant producer, Ford, will soon complete the buyout of the Daewoo Plant in Craiova.
PM Calin Popescu-Tariceanu invited the Japanese manufacturer to reflect on its experience on the Romanian market and to consider the prospect of opening a production plant in Romania.
