We would like to begin the year's final newsletter by welcoming all those who took our recent membership drive as an opportunity to become full members of ProZ.com--the world's largest translator community. The campaign was a marked success, and in just one month, we welcomed new members from over 80 countries.

Your investment in your business and workplace is appreciated, and you can rest assured that no one will be working as hard for you in 2006 as your ProZ.com team.

As part of the campaign promotion, we announced that one new member would win a trip to our next international conference, to be held in August in Buenos Aires. In 2005, ProZ.com delivered on a number of the objectives--objectives that were outlined by members at the start of the year. Technical improvements were made throughout the site, aggressive marketing resulted in a doubling of client traffic, and Marion Schimmelpfennig and others created the volunteer organization Translator4kids - see http://www.translators4kids.com

By posting the details of select past projects to your ProZ.com profile, and optionally obtaining client corroboration (and in addition, optional +/- client feedback)--you provide a means for clients and colleagues to locate you based on your areas of experience and your track record in satisfying clients.
