GLOSSARY ENTRY (DERIVED FROM QUESTION BELOW)
Spanish term or phrase: con cargo a beneficios del ejercicio
English translation: charged against the financial/fiscal/year/period/profits
At least for Spain, "beneficios" are "profits", same as "ganancias" elsewhere. The term "beneficios" is, as far as I know, only used in Spain. "Earnings" here in Spain are "ingresos", same as "income". IMHO.

4. Reduce the share capital, in order to redeem the treasury stock of Vidrala, S.A. that it may have on its balance sheet, ***against profits*** or free disposal reserves and for the amount that at any given time may be deemed convenient or necessary, up to the maximum number of shares existing at any given moment.

Not to devalue anyone's input (as it is against the rules), but I don't see anything in the text to indicate that it is "with interim dividends"!
